This city is a Hive of Industry, and don’t we know it. From the 1800s the north west of England has led the United Kingdom’s industry forward and this rings true to this day with a thriving digital and tech scene in the heart of the city. We’re proud to promote this through our Hive of Industry design.
Is there ‘owt worse than circular coffee or tea stain on a table? Our coasters are here to ensure there’s no drama. Each one displays one of our iconic Manchester designs. Constructed from durable and light MDF wood.
Manchester is a Hive of creativity and industry, and has been for as many as two centuries. The canals that run through the heart of the city are a nod to a bygone era, enabling coal and other raw materials to be carried right into the heart of the city.
Our coasters are created from durable MDF and the design is printed on a wipe-able surface. The perfect platform for any hot beverage, or perhaps, something stronger? One in a wide range of coasters proudly sporting our Manchester designs.
Manchester Souvenirs’ “Buzz Bee” illustration is part of a selection of designs created to celebrate the city’s pivotal role in the industrial revolution. You can find this design printed and embroidered all of the products that we offer; from coasters to tote bags and everything in between, if you like this design, you’ll be able to find it.
Our Manchester bee is an ever popular design, particularly on our coasters, which are constructed from a lightweight and durable MDF material. The surface design is wipe-able so there’s no risk of staining from pesky coffee circles.
As well as our Simple Manchester Bee and Manchester Bee (England) designs, here at Manchester Souvenirs we also boast a third version of this illustration. First adopted as a representation of the city’s industrial graft, hive of industry and all of that… the Worker Bee is now a proud symbol of defiance, unity and courage.
Do you love a brew, like we love a brew? Not only do we stock a wide range of mugs here at Manchester Souvenirs, but we have a variety of coasters to protect your table from those pesky coffee rings. They’re great when paired together, if we do say so ourselves.
Everyone has heard of the Manchester Bee, but not everyone knows where it came from. During the industrial revolution, the mills and workers of Manchester were known as the “Hives” and the “Bees”. This nickname became so popular that in 1842 it was added to the Manchester coat of arms. Now, over a hundred years later, the bee is a symbol of defiance against those who seek to harm our city. After the Manchester bombing, thousands stood together, rallying around the symbol of the bee, and showing to the world that we are not afraid, and we will not be beaten. Stand with us, and wear the bee with pride today.
A lightweight wooden coaster, printed with love and care to display our hand illustrated Manchester bee design. This design is one of our most popular options and also comes available on mugs, t-shirts, tote bags and more.
The Manchester Bee has long since been a symbol of our city’s commitment to hard work and dedication, but following the tragic events at Manchester Arena on 22nd May 2017, it now stands as a symbol of hope and commemoration. Our Manchester Bee design is bespokely designed by us and it is also available alongside the words ‘Manchester’ or ‘Manchester, England.’
We stock a wide range of coasters at Manchester Souvenirs, each displaying one of our personally illustrated designs. Here we have our offering for Salford, nearby neighbours with a proud history and shared heritage with that of Manchester.
Salford, established 923AD, now a neighbouring city to Manchester. During the industrial revolution Salford grew under its own steam, and became one of the North’s greatest centres in the cotton trade. Salford’s docks hosted one of the most successful inland ports on the Manchester ship canal, and is now the home to Media City, where BBC Sports and ITV News call home! We’re proud to have Salford as our neighbour, and created this design to show that!
Our Northern Soul drinks coaster is perfect for all fans of the iconic northern music and and dance movement of the 60s and on wards. This design also features on a range of other products including mugs, tote bags and t-shirts.
Northern Soul is the music movement that defined Manchester in the late 1960’s. Born of fast tempo American Black Soul records the craze began right here, in The Twisted Wheel, with its revolutionary “all-nighters”. Manchester’s nightlife didn’t end in the 70’s though, and our spirit for partying is still renowned throughout the country. Our Northern Soul range has been designed to reflect our city’s record-spinning roots.
Here at Manchester Souvenirs we stock a wide range of gifts and accessories based around our Manchester designs. We boast a huge selection of wooden coasters, each printed with an illustration that we have created ourselves.
“That’s ‘ded good that is”, said the excitable Manc kid to his mam. If you’re after a product that represents the proud dialect of our city then look no further. Manchester is indeed ‘ded good.’
